Dr Choi Yuk-lin, Secretary for Education, visited Geospatial Lab today (24 August) with school principals.

Mr CHAN Yue Chun, Head of Spatial Data Office, Development Bureau, Mr Albert SU Yau-on, Chief Executive of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Hon Elizabeth Quat and Dr Winnie Tang Shuk-ming, Founder and Honorary President of Smart City Consortium, introduced the mission and overview of Geospatial Lab.

Dr Choi and the school principals also visited the facilities of Geospatial Lab and listened to the presentations of the works by the awardees of the 2022 Open GIS Competition and other students,

• Awardee of Primary School Category - Tak Sun School - LAW Ching Kiu made use of the Geographic Information System to introduce the tour in Tai O
  
  
• Awardee of Senior Secondary Category - Christian and Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Secondary School - TSANG Cheung Ho, WONG Lam Yoyo, WONG Tin Nok, WONG Yuen Ki and YAU Hoi Wing made use of the Geographic Information System to explore the livability of TKO

Geographic Information System can also be integrated with history. Ms Shirley Leung, the principal-designate of Kowloon Sam Yuk Secondary School, accompanied three students (CHAN Yu Hin, LAI Hoi Lam and LEUNG Ngon Tin) to introduce their projects
