Dr Homan Wong

Homan has 18+ years of multi-disciplinary experiences and expertise on climate impacts modelling, ESG, sustainable infrastructure planning and advanced technology implementation.

Homan received his postgraduate education in environmental science and his PhD was specialised in climate change impacts on land surface responses including boundary layer hydrologic and energy fluxes, treeline shift, and changing biogeochemical (carbon & nitrogen) cycles. His PhD study advanced and applied the JULES model, which is the land surface component of the UK’s Unified Model for climate change and weather prediction. To support his environmental modelling works, he has domain knowledge in boundary layer meteorology, biogeochemistry, mathematics & statistics, and strong IT literacy (Fortran, Python, R, JavaScript, GIS and high-performance LINUX cluster). After his PhD graduation, he joined Arup on various Environmental Impact Assessments and Sustainability Planning Exercises for infrastructure projects and further expanded his spectrum of capabilities in wider environmental topics including air quality, noise, hazard, etc.
