The use of digital maps and data in different industries has become more popular. This trend is unblocked by more government agencies and companies making spatial data publicly available. This talk will focus on the availability of different spatial data, how these data fuel the transformation in retail and business management and boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Introduction of Guest Lecturer

Mr. Homing Tam

Homing currently works as a principal product manager at Lalamove with a focus on delivery core platform. Prior to his work in Lalamove, he served as sales engineer and account manager for maps product. He has been in love with maps since he was a kid. This planted the seed for his study in land surveying and computing at the university. Homing is active in developer communities and the GIS (Geographic Information System) industry. He was recognized by Google as a member of the Google Developers Experts (GDE) community since 2012.
