Objective

In this workshop, we will look into the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and GIS. With the demonstration of fundamental functionalities, participants will acquire knowledge in geo-referencing BIM models, importing the BIM models to GIS software, and performing basic City Information Modeling (CIM) analysis.

  • Quota for face-to-face session: 25 (first-come-first-served)

  • Free of charge

  • The workshop with hands-on practice will be conducted in face-to-face session. Participants can also join via virtual session as observers

Introduction of Guest Lecturer

Mr. Evan Cheung

Mr. Evan Cheung currently holds the position of Honorary Treasurer at HKGISA. He is pursuing a PhD in the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on urban green spaces, built environment design, high-density development, and their impact on population health, utilizing big data and GIS technology.
