Objective

This workshop will explore the development of an interactive spatial information dashboard for visualizing spatial data and statistics using data from the CSDI portal. By leveraging open data and dashboards, useful interfaces could be created that support the presentation of various spatial findings to assist in decision-making. Participants will receive hands-on guidance on how to develop these dashboards from scratch.

Mr Tommy CHAN

Mr Tommy CHAN is currently a junior town planner working in the public sector, having graduated from HKU's MSc(Urban Planning) and BA(Urban Studies) programme from the Department of Urban Planning and Design. He is passionate about spatial analytics, town planning research and smart mobility for the betterment of Hong Kong and cities around the world.



Mr DieterCHAN

Mr Dieter CHAN is a graduate of the BA(Urban Studies) programme and a current Year 2 student of the MSc(Urban Planning) programme at the University of Hong Kong. Currently working as a part-time student helper at KTA Planning Limited, providing support to planning tasks and GIS-related inputs, he is interested in utilising smart technology and GIS to facilitate data analysis and decision-making.
