Through the promotion and education of spatial data and GIS, Geospatial Lab endeavours to raise public awareness of spatial literacy. The Summer Internship Programme 2022 aims at offering opportunities for interns to explore new technologies that adopt spatial data and GIS. Through a series of in-house training and engagement in GIS or geospatial-projects development, there are many chances for students to enhance their geospatial skills and GIS knowledge.

Entry Requirements:

• Undergraduates from disciplines in geography, urban studies, environmental science, social science, computer science, and other related courses
  
  
• Eager to explore new technologies that adopt spatial data and GIS
  
  
• Knowledge of GIS or/and Information technology is an advantage but not necessary
  
  
• Have a good command of written Chinese and English, and be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English

Duties:

• Help to foster new ideas for GIS and geospatial apps development
  
  
• Help to explore new technologies that adopt spatial data and GIS
  
  
• Involve with GIS and geospatial apps development
  
  
• Participate in fieldwork to collect spatial data
  
  
• Assist in and support front-of-house operations including docent visits, group visits, and class activities

Working period: 

• June to August 2022. Monday to Friday on a full-time basis
