 2022 Summer GIS X STEM Workshop (*Participants are required to attend all three modules)

1. Introduction to Spatial Data and GIS

Registration Details

  • Please register via the registration link

  • Participants are required to attend all three modules. A certificate will be awarded to those participants who complete all three modules.

  • Quota: 40 (first-come-first-served)

  • Successful applicants will receive a Zoom ID and password from Geospatial Lab

Introduction of Guest Lecturer

Dr Paulina Wong

Dr Paulina Wong is currently an Assistant Professor in the Science Unit at Lingnan University and Centre Fellow of the Institute of Policy Studies. She is an environmental geographer specializing in urban climate, air/noise pollution, GIS, and environmental health. In recent years, her research has been extended to urban sensing, mobile geospatial technologies, sustainability education and social policy. She is a certified GIS Professional. She also serves on a number of professional associations such as the Council member and Vice-chairman of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Committee of Smart City Consortium, Honorary Secretary of HKGISA and Committee member of HKABAEIMA. She is also the editorial board member and review editor of several quality international journals.

Dr Wong obtained her BSc and MSc (First Class Honours) from University of Auckland, New Zealand and PhD from HKU.
