Our Community Photo Contest 2025

To raise awareness of spatial data and its relevance in urban development, GeoLab will hold the Our Community Photo Contest 2025 this year.  This is to inspire individuals to look closely at their surroundings and recognize the spatial dimensions in everyday objects and settings, to foster better community engagement through exploration and photography in urban landscapes.

Participants can use cameras or mobile phones to take pictures, tell the story with photos, and present how to map the geospatial data in their community.  Participants must include geo-tag in their submission.

• One digital photo taken in Hong Kong
• Chinese and English title
• Provide location information: submit a geo-tagged photo or provide proper coordinates

Division of submission will be defined by the location information from the photo.

The following awards will be presented for each division of the Competition.

Certificates will be awarded to all winners and participants.

Submissions should be emailed to services@csdigeolab.gov.hk with the subject line "Submission for GeoLab Photo Contest on Spatial Data” with the file name “[YOUR NAME]_[PHOTO TITLE]", your name, both Chinese and English titles and contact numbers are required in the email content.

Results will be announced on the Geospatial Lab social media and website.
