The Geospatial App Development Hackathon 2022, which was jointly organised by Geospatial Lab and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee), was successfully held in July. 30 participants from different tertiary institutions joined the 4-day workshop. Through learning Geographic Information System (GIS), programming, and various analytical tools, participants were given the opportunity to develop geospatial apps for solving real-life daily problems. Six groups of participants showcased their talents and presented their applications on the presentation day on 31st July.

The four-day Geospatial App Development Hackathon 2022 was successfully concluded. We hope all students will continue to explore spatial data, develop applications that benefit people, as well as supporting the smart city development.
