Today (July 30), the Opening Ceremony of Geospatial Lab was successfully held.

We were greatly honoured to invite Mr. WONG Wai Lun, the Secretary for Development, and the Chairman of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Mr. TAM Chun Kwok to deliver speeches in the ceremony, together with Hon Elizabeth QUAT, the Founder and Honorary President of the Smart City Consortium, Mr. Vic YAU, Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning & Lands), Mr. CHAN Yue Chun, Head of Spatial Data Office, Mr. MA Ching Yeung, the 1st Vice-Chairman, Mr. WAI Ho Man, the 2nd Vice-Chairman, Ms. TANG Ming Wai, the 3rd Vice-Chairman and Mr. TSENG Hing Yip, the 5th Vice-Chairman to officiate at the “Geospatial Lab Launch Ceremony”.

The "CSDI Ambassador Naming Competition Awards Ceremony" was also conducted in the opening ceremony. Awards were presented to the Champions. Overwhelming responses to the Naming Competition were received and we believed that an effective connection was established between the Geospatial Lab and the younger generation.

The Geospatial Lab will continue to share more latest information and developments on spatial data by holding more public engagement activities. Stay tuned!
