Objective

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Smart City are closely related. The application of AI has facilitated the development of Smart City, having regard to the times development. The emergence of Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms helps us to analyse huge amounts of urban data, which enables smart solutions and brings multiple benefits in different urban aspects. This talk will go through how AI and Machine Learning are contributed to smart city development.

Introduction of Guest Lecturer

Mr. Issac Ng

Mr. Issac Ng currently serves as a Research Assistant for Dr. Tony Sze from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, conducting projects related to New Energy Vehicles and Transportation Safety Planning. Mr. Ng graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, holding a bachelor's degree majoring in Environmental Engineering, and he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Analytics at the University of Hong Kong. Mr. Ng is keen on urban data analytics in planning and managing the sustainable development of the smart city.
