1. Introduction to ArcGIS and QGIS, with hands-on QGIS session for edit, display, query and analysis of spatial data

2. Introduction to Python language and Google Colab for spatial data visualization and analysis (with demonstrations and hands-on practice)

Introduction of Guest Lecturers

Ms Athena Wong

Athena Wong is currently Principal GIS Solution Architect at Master Concept. Athena is an active member on HKGISA and member of Smart City Consortium. She has been providing Geospatial solution and services to professionals in both public and private sector over the past 12 years. Her expertise lies in location based services for Enterprise / Startup Customers, with solid and practical experiences to help these Customers to develop Geospatial solutions in addressing their business objectives and overcome the obstacles.

Ms Wong obtained her Hons BSC (GIS) from University of Toronto and earned certifications in Google Maps Developer, Cloud Architect as well as a valid holder of PMP from Project Management Institute.


Mr Kenneth Wong

Kenneth is currently a teaching assistant and researcher at The Department of Urban Planning and Design, The University of Hong Kong (HKU), in which he received his M.Sc in Urban Planning and B.A. in Urban Studies. His works lay in geospatial data manipulation, analysis and visualisation for various urban planning/analytics projects. The outputs range among academic papers, web articles, web map applications and interactive charts. As an urbanist, he is passionate about developing Geographic Information System (GIS) applications for urban planning and built environment.
